    Golden Touch CRAPS

Posts of the Month - September

As usual, this month there was a lot of back and forth amongst the Interns regarding the posts. Every month that we read all the posts, we each have our own subjective opinions, but we earnestly try to have a majority vote, if it cannot be unanimous. This requires a lot of e-mails.

Although up to now we have selected posts from "Craps ," we are required to consider all the contributions. So this month, for POM we have selected ACPA's post, "Why Do You Use That Handle?" a topic that many have wondered about. It appears in "Coffee Chat Lounge."

POM: Why do you use that Handle

ACPA - 06:52pm Sep 19, 2010 PT
40 Roll Club, 60 Roll Club, 70 roll club, Registered for WCC

I know some of the stories behind the handles that people use.

Some like mine relate to our profession, I'm A Certified Public Accountant (ACPA). Cool Lady Pad owned an air conditioning firm. Baitman has a firm that makes fish lures.

I understand DB+W may use Tuttigym on another site and he has a history in gymmasrics. Not sure of where DB+W comes from.

Curious what the story is on CIII.

Lady Razorback is from Arkansas.

On the others where it is not you name, consider sharing the story.

POD: Meeting the Contrarian DB+W

The Architect (AKA PaulM) - 03:17pm Sep 28, 2010 PT
GTC Primer Grad, Tunica '10

To the GTC community, including lurskers, occasional posters, regular posters, interns, instructors, Frank and Dom.

DB+W is in fact a real and an extremely pleasant gentleman.

He's not unlike any one of you out there reading this now.

He has had his life's trials and tribulations just as each of us has had, more than some people and less than others.

He swims daily as Frank does. He has served in the military as some on these boards have. He's been married, divorced and found another just like some on these boards have. He has hobbies and passions to do things just as the majority of us do and have.

DB+W does have a book that he has written.

He likes to win money playing craps just as we all like to win money playing this crazy game. The list could go on here.

Many of you have posted on these boards the trials and tribulations of your craps playing. You found this site and are evolving into a better craps player because of it.

DB+W found the same game and the GTC site we found. He chose to study, for him, what would be the best approach and wagering methods to take to win all based on his experiences on the tables with all the same eggheads and obnoxious people we've all encountered when we are playing.

DB+W has chosen his particular path on this road of craps playing because of those experiences. He has studied hard to learn and develop ways and methods that he feels work for him when he plays so that he wins. And yes he believes Winning is the most fun too!!!

Many of us (myself included) have found through Frank and Dom's GTC teachings and experiences a way to improve our craps knowledge and abilities. We did not develop or blaze our own paths to follow as DB+W has. We chose the GTC path for what ever reason WE chose too.

So then, does it mean DB+W is right when he twist's words and makes snide comments? From our GTC perspective NO. So then too, does it mean a GTC'er is right when they twist DB+W's words and makes snide comments? From DB+W's perspective NO.

Look at the diversity of people we have within this GTC group. It is amazing maybe even astounding! But we all have that one common bond/interest, the game of craps.

I really don't know what this all means in the large scheme of things, but I do know that DB+W is as real as you or I and that he does evoke a lot of thoughts and emotions from a lot of us.

While I probably will not utilize his types of wagering on craps, I do respect that he has chosen to learn, study and take a particular path regardless of the obstacles.

Will he change some of his thoughts and directions regarding controlled shooting?

I definitely think so.

Will we change our thoughts on DB+W because we know he is a person just like us?

I definitely think so. I believe that those who met him this weekend already have.

DB+W is not, really, any different than you or I.

But, for me, one thing else happened this weekend through GTC, I met another great real person, DB+W, I can call a friend and fellow craps player.

Thank you DB+W.

And thank you Frank and Dom for creating GTC.
